C/A spice: Mild/Medium
Cordy is the sleeping vampire's messenger girl.
Gunn: Where's Angel?
Cordy: He's still sleeping.
Gunn: Sleeping? It's 3:30 in the afternoon. I've been up since dawn.
Cordy: Sort of missing the whole "creature of the night" angle, isn't he?
Gunn: Demon. Set up camp in my neighborhood. Last night he killed two of my men. So could one of you go in there and knock on his coffin?
Cordy: He doesn't use a coffin -- and maybe you've never heard the expression "let sleeping vampires lie." He'll rise on his own. Always does.
David Nabbit: So where's Angel?
Cordy: Actually, he's still kind of sleeping.
David Nabbit: At 3:30? I've been up since dawn.
Cordy is the first that Angel lets drive his car. By her surprised tone, it's a big thing to be granted permission to drive his "Angel-mobile".
Angel: Cordy, you're driving.
Cor: Me? Drive your car? So cool.
Cordy: Home sweet hotel.
Angel: Just bring the car back tomorrow.
Cordy: You sure you gonna be okay?
Angel: Yeah, I'll be fine. I just need to get some sleep.
Cordy as Angel gets out: That seems to be all you've been doing lately. Not that I'm judging!
Angel: Good night.
Cordy calls after him: Sleep tight! (adds quietly) Don't let the bed bugs bite.
Cordy is always chipper to Angel, but she's getting worried about him.
I thought is was cute how adorably worried Cordy was that Angel would get mad at her, when she lost his car.
Cordy: Angel is not going to be happy. You know what he's going to do to me when he finds out I let his car get stolen? I mean, what are the chances that a vampire has full insurance with a low deductible?
And this little line when she found it:
Cordy: There is a god! Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!
More about the car in a cut scene.
In the last fight scene, a vamp breaks a mirror on the Angelmobile.
Cordy points to the broken mirror, and says to Angel: "Ok, I am not responsible for that."
Nothing. Let me just take this space to complain how Cordy was too occupied with Gunn and Angel was too occupied with Darla. No offense to Gunn and Darla, who are very cool characters. Still. Puh-lease. Could those 'ships be more predictable and deja vu-ish? Cordy with Gunn (think Xander/Doyle/Wesley + the constant bickering)? Angel with Darla (think petite + blond + steamy dreams)? Oh frustration.
